"Do whatever they want": general reveals Putin's dangerous order

British General Richard Dannatt stated that Vladimir Putin has allowed Russian military forces to operate without previous restrictions, which could lead to intensified air attacks on Ukraine. According to his assessment, the real situation at the front does not match the picture of success that the Kremlin seeks to portray.

British General Richard Dannatt, former Chief of the General Staff of the United Kingdom, stated in an interview with 24 Kanal that Vladimir Putin has effectively allowed Russian military forces to operate without previous restrictions. Dannatt characterized this approach with the words: "Putin told the generals to throw the rules in the trash and do whatever they want." According to his assessment, this could lead to intensified air attacks on Ukraine, as the Kremlin seeks to achieve a turning point on the front and demonstrate results of the war. The general noted that the real situation on the battlefield does not match the picture of success that the Russian leadership seeks to portray. Among Moscow's problems, Dannatt cited a shortage of human resources, which pushes the Russian army toward massive air attacks. The possibility of large-scale mobilization, in his opinion, creates serious political risks for the Kremlin, as it could clearly show Russian society the true scale of the war.
