Despite an aggressive campaign that raised about 3 billion shekels from competitors, Ayalon Insurance is expected to post weak returns in October in the general provident fund track, with a decline of 0.35% – only seventh place in the table. The reason: high exposure to Israel, which hurt returns after the election results. The average industry return is expected to be negative at 0.25%-0.3%. In contrast, Mor is the only provident fund with a positive return (0.4%). In the equity track, Ayalon is expected to decline by 1% (fourth place), above the negative average of 1.1%-1.2%. Ayalon is banking on long-term returns from Israel.
