Yemen is witnessing an ongoing military escalation as government forces announce the execution of about 950 targeting operations against Houthi positions, gatherings, and military movements on several fronts. Government forces announced the recapture of two positions in the al-Aqroud front south of Taiz, after storming sites that were under the group's control. The spokesman for the government forces, Colonel Majid al-Nuzaili, said the operations resulted in the killing or neutralizing of about 332 field commanders and elements, along with the destruction and disabling of 56 military vehicles, equipment, and transport means, on northern fronts including al-Jawf, Marib, and al-Bayda, as well as southern and southwestern fronts. Al-Nuzaili added that government forces continue to reinforce their positions in areas they regained control over in the past 48 hours in al-Jawf province, alongside engineering operations to clear mines and explosive devices and secure areas. The forces also announced targeting Houthi gatherings and combat vehicles with two airstrikes at the Jabal Habashi junction in Taiz, and recapturing positions in the al-Khazzan al-Ahmar area of al-Maqatira district north of Lahij province. Meanwhile, the confrontations were accompanied by civilian casualties due to attacks targeting civilian facilities and areas, without specifying their number.
