Cyclist about 40 killed by vehicle near Magshimim Junction
A cyclist about 40 years old was killed this morning (Saturday) after being hit by a private vehicle on Highway 98 near Magshimim Junction. MDA teams pronounced his death at the scene due to severe head injuries. The driver of the vehicle was lightly injured. This is the second consecutive Saturday in which a cyclist has been killed in a road accident in Israel.
A cyclist about 40 years old was killed this morning (Saturday) after being hit by a private vehicle on Highway 98 near Magshimim Junction in central Israel. MDA teams arriving at the scene found the cyclist unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, while civilians were performing basic CPR. The teams continued medical treatment but were forced to pronounce the cyclist's death at the scene due to severe head injuries. The driver of the private vehicle was lightly injured. This is the second consecutive Saturday in which a cyclist has been killed by a vehicle. Last week, Itzik Brashi, a respected director in the news division of Kan, was killed in a bicycle accident on Highway 44 near the Nesharim Interchange. Brashi, 56, is survived by a wife and three children.
