Connections to Hamas and terrorist families: The circles behind the creator of 'No Other Land'

A study by the intelligence command of the Yesha Council reveals connections between the director of the film 'No Other Land', Yuval Abraham, and Palestinian elements with ties to Hamas and terrorist families. The research points to Abraham's links with journalist Ahmed Al-Naouq, whose brother was a Hamas operative, and with the Med-Euro organization headed by Rami Abdo, who is linked to Hamas. Additionally, a connection with a Palestinian activist from the Jordan Valley was examined.

A new study by the intelligence command of the Yesha Council examines the personal and professional circles of Yuval Abraham, the director of the film 'No Other Land', which damaged the image of Israel and the IDF on the international stage. The study, based on open-source information, raises questions about Abraham's connections with Palestinian elements with ties to Hamas. One of the key names is Ahmed Al-Naouq, a Palestinian journalist from Gaza, with whom Abraham established the project 'We Are Beyond the Fence' in 2019. According to the study, Ahmed's brother, Iman Al-Naouq, was an operative in the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades until he was killed in Operation Protective Edge. Ahmed Al-Naouq held positions in the Med-Euro organization, headed by Rami Abdo, who has been documented in meetings with senior Hamas officials. In 2020, Abdo was officially identified as a board member of IPALESTINE, an entity designated as a terrorist organization affiliated with Hamas. The study also points to a connection with Iman Gharib, a Palestinian activist from the Jordan Valley, about whom Abraham wrote that he knows him personally. Gharib was arrested in 2025 and issued an administrative detention order that was renewed in 2026. In light of the findings, the researchers, together with Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar, call on Shin Bet chief David Zini to conduct an investigation into the matter.
