ConnectEd, a global network for educators working in Jewish education, has launched an English-speaking community. The launch was marked by an online discussion featuring author and scholar Dara Horn. ConnectEd was established by the Koret Center for Jewish Civilization, a partnership between ANU – Museum of the Jewish People and Tel Aviv University. The network has attracted more than 900 educators and education professionals worldwide in less than a year. Initially developed for Hebrew-speaking educators, it offers webinars, peer learning, working groups, and collaborative projects. The new English-speaking community extends these opportunities to anglophone educators worldwide, with additional languages planned. Oded Revivi, ANU's CEO, stated that Jewish educators are at the heart of building a strong sense of Jewish belonging. Naama Klar, director of ANU's Koret International School for Jewish Peoplehood, said the network's rapid growth reflected educators' need to explore questions about Jewish identity and belonging, particularly since October 7. Horn inaugurated the community with a webinar titled 'How to Bring the Story of the Jewish People to Our Students and Communities,' encouraging participants to approach contemporary discourse with 'curiosity and courage' and discussing how to understand and address antisemitism.
