Claude's most annoying limitation disappears – here's how it will help you
Anthropic is removing the five-hour limit for Claude Ultra subscribers, renaming the plans and increasing API credits. The move aims to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT Pro.
Anthropic is updating its subscription plans for the Claude AI model and, for the first time, removing the five-hour limit for Ultra subscribers. Under the update, the Max 5x plan will now be called Max at $100 per month, and the Max 20x plan will be called Ultra at $200 per month. The removal of the limit applies to verified users, while new users will have a temporary limit until their account is verified. The move is intended to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT Pro plan at the same price point. Additionally, Ultra subscribers will receive $200 per month in API credits, up from $100 previously. Free and Pro ($20 per month) tier subscribers will not be affected by the change.
