Between the holidays and remembrance: 50,000 memorial candles for the fallen and murdered

Ahead of Yom Kippur, the Sapir Group and the 'One Family' association are launching a large-scale memorial initiative: approximately 50,000 dedicated memorial candles will be distributed in retail chains in memory of the October 7 victims and the fallen of the 'Swords of Iron' war. All profits from the sale of the candles will be transferred to the association that supports bereaved families, wounded individuals, and terror victims.

Ahead of Yom Kippur, the Sapir Group and the 'One Family' association are launching a large-scale memorial and solidarity initiative in memory of the October 7 victims and the fallen of the 'Swords of Iron' war. As part of the initiative, approximately 50,000 dedicated memorial candles will be distributed in retail chains across the country. Alongside the commemoration, all profits from the sale of the candles will be transferred directly to the 'One Family' association, which supports thousands of bereaved families, wounded individuals, and victims of hostilities and terror. Since October 7, the association has significantly expanded its support framework, which includes emotional and psychological counseling, support groups, community activities, and ongoing financial and rehabilitation assistance. The CEOs of the Sapir Group, Oren and Avinoam Sapir, stated that the initiative aims to allow every person to take part in a simple yet powerful gesture: to light a candle, say a name, and give another moment of space to a person who is no longer here. The CEO of the 'One Family' association, Moshe Swill, added that the connection between personal commemoration and ongoing, tangible support for families is the most distinct and pure expression of Israeli mutual responsibility.
