Bag hidden among bushes: Weapons found in Yarka | Watch
Border Police officers from the Coastal District discovered a bag hidden among bushes in an open area in the town of Yarka. Inside the bag were a Kalashnikov rifle, two full magazines of ammunition, loose bullets, and additional weapon parts. The operation was part of the fight against crime and illegal weapons in the Western Galilee. The weapons were transferred for further investigation at the Western Galilee police station.
Border Police officers from the Coastal District discovered a bag hidden among bushes in an open area in the town of Yarka in the Western Galilee. Inside the bag were a Kalashnikov rifle, two full magazines of ammunition, 7.62mm loose bullets, and additional weapon parts. The operation took place last night (Wednesday) as part of a special task force command to combat crime and illegal weapons, in cooperation between Border Police officers and district police officers. The seized weapons were transferred for further investigation at the Western Galilee police station. Police and Border Police emphasized that operational activity will continue.
