In a swift operational activity, the smuggling attempt was foiled and the drone was intercepted before it could cross the prison fences. A Israel Police bomb disposal expert was called to the scene and examined the package attached to the drone. The examination revealed a substance suspected to be a dangerous drug in a quantity not intended for personal use, indicating an intention for trade or distribution within the prison. The IPS stated that it will continue to operate using operational and technological means to thwart smuggling attempts and maintain the security of detention facilities.
