As revealed in Ma'ariv: Bennett refused to sign a document that he would not sit with Netanyahu - "populist"
Naftali Bennett refused in an interview with 103FM to sign a written commitment not to sit in a government led by Netanyahu, calling the demand "populist." In Likud, assessments suggest that another election could harm his standing, and he may prefer an arrangement with Netanyahu.
Chairman of the Together party, Naftali Bennett, refused today in an interview with 103FM to sign a written commitment not to sit in a government led by Benjamin Netanyahu and not to rely on non-Zionist Arab parties. Bennett called the demand "populist" and emphasized that his position is clear: "Netanyahu is going home and we are not with him in the government." According to him, he has kept all his commitments from the previous elections, except for the one concerning Mansour Abbas. In the background, Likud has already marked Bennett as a possible partner. Sources in the party estimate that another election could harm his standing, and therefore he may prefer to reach an arrangement with Netanyahu rather than go to the polls again. However, they emphasize that no contacts have taken place between the sides. Meanwhile, in Likud, assessments suggest that another election could also harm the standing of Gadi Eisenkot as the leading candidate for prime minister from the change bloc.
