Araghchi to President Trump: "Be careful, we too have unfinished business"
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi warned Trump in response to a post in which he wrote that America might "finish the job" against Iran. Araghchi claimed that Iran emerged stronger the previous time, and accused Netanyahu of pushing the US toward war. Lavrov is expected to arrive in Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned US President Donald Trump that "we too have unfinished business," in response to a post in which Trump wrote that America might "finish the job soon" against Iran. Araghchi tweeted: "Last time you wanted to 'finish the job,' Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Go ahead. But be careful." In the tweet, Araghchi accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of "pushing America into another war to stay out of prison." Trump expressed support for Netanyahu ahead of the October 27 elections, calling him a "great warrior." Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to arrive in Tehran for meetings with President Pezeshkian and Araghchi. The visit comes after Trump warned that a move against Moscow could bring it closer to Iran. Iran is awaiting Washington's response to its proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz within seven days in exchange for lifting the blockade and sanctions.
