Another cut in Kikar Atarim: The tower plan was approved in principle
The Tel Aviv District Planning and Building Appeals Committee approved in principle the tower plan in Kikar Atarim, ordering an additional reduction of 4,000 square meters of construction area, expansion of public spaces, and separation between residential and hotel uses. Apartment occupancy will be conditional on hotel occupancy approval, and its rooms cannot be sold separately.
The Tel Aviv District Planning and Building Appeals Committee approved in principle the plan to demolish Kikar Atarim and build towers in its place, but ordered an additional cut of 4,000 square meters of construction area. This cut joins a previous reduction of 4,000 square meters approved by the local committee in November 2024. The committee determined that one tower will be used for residential purposes and the other for hotel use, and that apartment occupancy approval will be conditional on the first hotel occupancy approval. Additionally, permanent division of ownership of hotel rooms was prohibited. The committee ordered the addition of 900 square meters of open public space and an increase in distances from nearby hotels. Disputes among rights holders over the division of construction rights have not yet been resolved. Developers were required to submit corrected documents within 60 days.
