Aluma Infrastructure Fund, led by Ori Yogev, Yair Hirsh, and Muli Ravina, is expanding its energy arm, Alumenergy, by acquiring OPC Mevuzarot from OPC Energy for NIS 272 million. OPC Mevuzarot operates twelve power generation and cogeneration installations at consumer sites such as hospitals, industrial plants, and shopping malls, with contracts lasting 15 to 25 years. The installations have a total output of 52 megawatts, storage capacity of nearly 200 megawatt hours, and roof solar installations with three megawatts of output. Aluma expects the unit to generate annual revenue of NIS 120 million and EBITDA of NIS 48 million. OPC Energy will record a gain of NIS 65-75 million on the sale. The acquisition introduces Aluma to energy storage and trading of excess power, positioning it as a one-stop energy shop. Some power plants are not yet completed, and Aluma aims to finish them and connect them to cogeneration units. The deal brings Aluma's total capacity to 85 megawatts, following the July acquisition of Supergas Natural Holdings for NIS 395 million. Last month, Discount Capital invested NIS 80 million for 16.5% of Alumenergy, valuing it at NIS 400 million.
