The ordeal began in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, where the family home was bombed, forcing them to flee to Khan Younis. On December 3, 2024, occupation forces shot her husband Taha in the head, killing him instantly. After the ceasefire, she returned to the Halawa camp in Jabalia, but on June 18, 2025, an Israeli quadcopter drone randomly opened fire in the camp, hitting her son Ahmad (12 years old) with shrapnel in the head, causing longitudinal hemiplegia; the shrapnel lodged in a sensitive spot that doctors refuse to operate on. The family fled to the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital for four months, suffering poverty and hunger. Her son Muhammad went out to search for food from a soup kitchen in the port area, but was killed on September 21, 2025, after being targeted by a missile that burned his body. Aisha developed leukemia after her husband's death, then diabetes and vision loss after Muhammad's death. She now lives in the Irbikan camp near the yellow occupation line, and she and her son Ahmad need a medical referral for treatment outside Gaza, but the lack of official identity and reliance on an ID card prevent them from completing travel procedures, as Israel restricts the travel of patients and wounded.
