"Adalah" demands the Elections Committee fix the issue immediately: shortage of Arabic-language ballots at many polling stations

The 'Adalah' Legal Center received reports from voters and observers that Arabic-language ballots were unavailable at many polling stations in Arab towns. The center sent an urgent letter to the Central Elections Committee demanding an immediate fix. The Joint List clarified that two ballot slips may exist, both valid.

Since polling stations opened this morning, the 'Adalah' Legal Center for the Rights of the Arab Minority in Israel received reports from voters and observers that Arabic-language ballots were unavailable at many polling stations. These reports came from several Arab towns including: Baqa al-Gharbiyye, Haifa, Nazareth, I'billin, Eilabun, Shfaram, and Nof Hagalil. Consequently, 'Adalah' sent an urgent letter to the head of the Central Elections Committee demanding an immediate fix by urgently providing Arabic-language ballots to all stations experiencing shortages and issuing clear instructions to polling station committees. The article described the incident as 'an infringement on the right of Arab citizens to vote equally and accessibly.' The Joint List also issued a clarification to voters that some stations may have two ballot slips for the list: one in Arabic and Hebrew and another in Hebrew only, both valid and acceptable for voting.
