Accident in Ashdod: 10-year-old slips from electric scooter, seriously injured

A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured after slipping from an electric scooter on Jerusalem Boulevard in Ashdod. Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom provided life-saving treatment and evacuated him to Assuta Hospital in the city, where he was in a confused state and suffering from severe head and limb injuries.

A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured today (Sunday) after slipping while riding an electric scooter on Jerusalem Boulevard in Ashdod. Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom who arrived at the scene provided initial life-saving medical treatment on site. He was then evacuated in a mobile intensive care unit to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, in serious condition, confused, and suffering from head and limb injuries. MDA medic Simcha Hasid said the boy was lying on the sidewalk, semi-conscious and suffering from severe body injuries, after slipping while riding an electric scooter. This is a typical urban accident that once again raises the issue of electric scooter riding safety, especially among children.
