Since then, a lawsuit has been filed against him by the company managing Parton's business affairs, and a Tennessee court issued a temporary restraining order against him and his security company. In court documents, estate managers allege that Seaver threatened staff members, mentioned his military experience and access to weapons, and even wrote to one of the attorneys, "I am a killer." Seaver denies the allegations and claims his comments were taken out of context, adding that Dolly Parton herself used to call him a "killer" as a joke. The legal battle is between Seaver and his security company and the entities managing her estate.
