Dan Perry argues that voting for Benjamin Netanyahu will lead to international isolation, economic sanctions, and military vulnerability. Dan Perry argues that voting for Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming Israeli election is a vote for economic decline, international isolation, and military vulnerability. Perry cites Netanyahu's record on October 7, obstruction of an inquiry, subservience to haredi parties on military exemptions, attacks on the security establishment and judiciary, corruption scandals, and failure to translate costly wars into strategic victories. He warns that the international system is waiting to see whether Israelis change direction, and that if Netanyahu returns with the same coalition, severe economic sanctions from Europe and the United States are likely. Perry points to settler attacks on an American photojournalist and a French mayor as examples of lawlessness that have damaged Israel's standing. He calls for a new government that will crush West Bank lawlessness through arrests and prosecutions.
