Amos Luzon is in advanced negotiations to acquire ownership of Kohan Properties from Netanel Lorenzi for $6.4 million. Lorenzi exercised a lien on the company's shares after lending Michael Kohan about $4 million. Kohan Properties holds 35 commercial properties in the US valued at $710 million.
Amos Luzon is close to replicating his success with Dori Construction: he is in advanced negotiations to acquire ownership of Kohan Properties from businessman Netanel Lorenzi for $6.4 million. The deal comes less than a week after Lorenzi took control of the company's shares, after exercising a lien granted against a loan of about $4 million he gave to Michael Kohan. Kohan took the loan after bondholders threatened to demand immediate repayment, following the withdrawal of about $9 million from the company. Kohan Properties holds 35 commercial properties in 19 US states, with a total value of about $710 million. Luzon will purchase the shares through Luzon Entrepreneurship and Energy. Capital market sources estimate that Kohan will find it difficult to raise claims against Luzon, who was not a party to the loan. However, prominent bondholders Mor, Mitav, and Phoenix can still demand immediate repayment.
