Habani, her former partner, continued to testify this week at the center: the Facebook account, the police testimonies, and the claims that made her a suspect in the public eye. The lawsuit claims that Habani published defamatory statements about Kravchenko on social media, after testifying to the police that she allegedly confessed to him that she was the murderer. "Most of the public in Israel believed she was the real murderer and some still believe," the lawsuit states. Habani denies defamation and claims "I spoke the truth." The series "Shadow of Truth" was broadcast in 2016 on Channel 8, and interviews with the creators constitute grounds for the lawsuit. Creator Pines stated that he does not determine who the murderer is but hopes the investigation will continue. The case against Kravchenko was closed for lack of guilt in 2021.
