Zelikha: "People aren't afraid of Iran – they're getting slapped in the supermarket"
Yaron Zelikha rejects Netanyahu's claim that he is a "Meretz man," asserts that voters are switching to his party due to the cost of living, and promises: if appointed finance minister, prices will start dropping within three months.
Yaron Zelikha, chairman of the "Yashar!" party, gave an interview on Radio North 104.5FM and sharply rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claim that he is a "Meretz man." Zelikha said Netanyahu is knowingly lying, and that the attack stems from voter leakage to his party. According to him, "People aren't afraid of Iran – they're afraid of the prices at the supermarket." Zelikha argued that if appointed finance minister, prices would start dropping within three months. He criticized Netanyahu's economic policy, comparing it to the situation under Eisenkot, whom he accused of backing tycoons. Zelikha presented his party as combining a tough economic line with right-wing positions, and promised to take money from "robbers" and create "a new day in the country."
