During The Patriots program, host Yinon Magal revealed a moving moment that took place at his synagogue on the holiday of Simchat Torah. A couple who survived the dramatic flight incident from Dubai arrived at the synagogue to recite the Thanksgiving blessing. Magal described how the husband, a secular man, donned a prayer shawl and was moved by the occasion. Also praying at that same synagogue is a veteran, a survivor of the historic Operation Entebbe. A conversation developed between the woman who survived the plane and the Entebbe survivor, and they compared experiences and wondered who had it harder. Magal concluded that if it weren't Shabbat, it would have been interesting to film the moment.
