Yinon Magal confirms the split: "I decided"
Yinon Magal confirmed this evening that his joint program with Ben Caspit on 103FM will go off the air after the elections, after seven years of broadcasting. Magal accused Caspit of "violent, crude, vulgar speech and curses" that dragged him into the incident. Caspit claimed that the move was coordinated in advance with the station management.
Yinon Magal, a presenter on Channel 14, officially confirmed this evening (Wednesday) that his joint program with Ben Caspit on 103FM will go off the air after the upcoming elections, after seven years of joint broadcasting. In a panel on Channel 14, Magal explained that he decided on the split due to crossing "red lines" and accused Caspit of "violent, crude, vulgar speech and curses" that dragged him into the incident. Magal claimed that there was nothing like this in the past. The statement comes after a dramatic broadcast on Monday, when Magal first raised the possibility with Caspit and said "we have exhausted the program." Magal clarified that the program will continue until the elections due to electoral needs. Caspit responded sarcastically and revealed that the move was coordinated in advance with the CEO. The breakup occurs against the backdrop of a public storm surrounding Magal, after he called participants in the "Neglect Square" protest "despicable people" and harmed bereaved families. He later apologized to the Bibas family.
