Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan was interviewed on Gadi Nes's program on Radio North 104.5FM and addressed a range of political and security issues. Golan said it might be possible to form a coalition of 61 seats without Ra'am, referring to political possibilities after the elections. He was asked about his statements regarding Avigdor Lieberman after the two agreed not to attack each other. On security matters, Golan sharply criticized the government's conduct in the Gaza Strip, stating that it perpetuates Hamas rule and wastes the IDF's achievements. He presented five principles for action, including maximizing military achievements and replacing Hamas rule with an alternative government. Golan emphasized the need to employ the diplomatic track alongside the military one, in cooperation with the US, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Additionally, Golan addressed the attempted attack on a Flydubai flight, in which an Omani pilot tried to take over a plane carrying about 180 Israelis, calling the government's preparedness "unacceptable negligence."
