Yaakov Asher adds sin to crime and betrays all Torah Judaism voters

Chairman of Torah Judaism, Yaakov Asher, canceled an interview on Channel 14 News following a publication about a planned interview on Channel 12, which airs on Shabbat. The interview on Channel 12 remains in place, despite harsh criticism from senior party members and the Gur Hasidic sect.

Chairman of Torah Judaism, MK Yaakov Asher, canceled his scheduled interview for this coming Saturday night on the program "The Patriots" on Channel 14. The cancellation comes following reports on Channel 14 about his planned participation in the program "Meet the Press" on Channel 12, which is partially broadcast during Shabbat. Despite canceling his appearance on The Patriots, the planned interview on Channel 12 remains in place. The decision has sparked further criticism of Asher's conduct. While he chose to cancel his appearance on the channel that exposed the affair, he has not retracted his decision to participate in a program that begins its broadcasts on Shabbat. His associates explained that the interview would be filmed on Friday and broadcast only after Shabbat ends, but this explanation did not prevent the expansion of criticism within the Haredi public. A senior figure in Torah Judaism described the participation in the program as "a disgrace and desecration of the holy Shabbat" and demanded the interview be canceled. The party "The Haredi Public" also launched an attack against Asher, and voices of protest were heard in the Gur Hasidic sect. The storm also includes the choice to continue giving interviews specifically on Channel 12, against the backdrop of harsh criticism over its coverage of the Force 100 fighters affair.
