Avishai Ben Haim: "Ben Gvir's campaign was the most disappointing in the right-wing"
Dr. Avishai Ben Haim sharply criticized the election campaign of Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, calling it "the most disappointing of any right-wing party." According to him, Ben Gvir focused on attacking Netanyahu within the bloc instead of trying to attract votes from Avigdor Lieberman's party. Other panelists argued that the campaign also addressed other issues.
During the 'Patriots' program on Channel 14, panelist Dr. Avishai Ben Haim sharply criticized the election campaign of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. Ben Haim described the campaign as "the most disappointing of any right-wing party in these elections" and argued that it focused on internal struggles within the right-wing bloc rather than expanding the support base. According to him, Ben Gvir's strategy was fundamentally flawed: "Ben Gvir's entire campaign was within the bloc against Netanyahu, against Netanyahu, against Netanyahu." Ben Haim claimed that the correct goal was to appeal to new audiences, saying: "Ben Gvir should have brought two mandates from Lieberman in this campaign, and he could have. He didn't try." His remarks sparked a discussion in the studio, with other panelists arguing that the campaign also addressed other topics, such as the fight against Arab terrorism, the distribution of weapons to civilians, and the demolition of houses in the Negev. However, Ben Haim stood by his opinion and rejected the claim that attacking Netanyahu was meant to attract votes from Lieberman, saying: "On the contrary, he is going against Netanyahu to take from Netanyahu."
