Winter in collapse – the gap between Netanyahu and Eisenkot narrows significantly

A Channel 14 poll published this evening (Wednesday, September 23, 2026) presents an updated picture of the seat map and suitability for prime minister. The data shows Likud strengthening by one seat to 32, while Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar adds two and rises to 22, establishing itself as the second-largest party. Shas adds a seat from 10 to 11. In contrast, Naftali Bennett's Together party weakens by two seats to 7, United Torah Judaism loses a seat and drops to 7, and Otzma Yehudit weakens by two to 6. Below the electoral threshold, Ofer Winter's party, Amcha Israel, collapses from 2.6% to 1.9%. The right-wing bloc maintains a majority of 63 seats, the left-wing bloc strengthens to 45, and the Arab parties remain at 12. On the question of suitability for prime minister, Netanyahu leads with 52% (compared to 55% in the previous poll), and Eisenkot strengthens to 34% (compared to 29%). In a head-to-head test, the gap between Netanyahu and Eisenkot narrowed from 14 points to just 6 points: 53% for Netanyahu versus 47% for Eisenkot. The poll was conducted by NEXT DATA among 647 adults.
