Tzachi Hanegbi, who served as head of the National Security Council under Netanyahu on October 7 and previously in his governments, explains in an article why he decided to vote this time for Avigdor Lieberman. Hanegbi, who presents himself as a right-wing man, details reasons for his decision: he does not identify with what he calls 'messianic right', 'racist right', or a right that remains silent in the face of nationalist crime. The main reason, according to him, is the support of right-wing parties for a mass exemption from military service for Haredim, while citing calls 'we will die and not enlist'. Hanegbi praises Lieberman for his positions on the enlistment issue, for his resignation from the Defense Ministry in 2018 after warning about Hamas, and for his insistence on the independence of the judicial system. The article is a public expression of support for Lieberman by a well-known right-wing figure.
