Israeli occupation forces arrested about 70 Palestinians across the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, from Friday until dawn Saturday, and released some of them, while subjecting hundreds of citizens to field interrogations, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Club. The club stated on Saturday that most of the detainees are former prisoners who spent years in Israeli prisons, and that a large number of those subjected to field interrogation are former prisoners, including those released in exchange deals. The raids targeted hundreds of homes in Hebron, accompanied by forcing Palestinians to evacuate their homes and displace from specific areas, and converting dozens of homes into military barracks and field interrogation centers, along with acts of vandalism and destruction. The club added that most of those released were subjected to physical assaults, restraints, blindfolding, and threats including warnings against engaging in any political activity. It considered these practices to fall within the policy of collective punishment, noting that more than 26,000 arrest cases have been recorded in the West Bank since October 2023. In Hebron, occupation forces continued the siege of the city for the second consecutive day on Saturday, amid a heavy deployment of military vehicles and bulldozers and the closure of main entrances and roads leading to it, along with raids and searches of homes. The military operation was accompanied by forcing dozens of Palestinian families to evacuate their homes, while the Hebron governorate reported that the evacuations affected hundreds of homes.
