A Galilee resident attacked his son and a relative with an iron bar during a wedding, following an argument with his wife. Police filed an indictment and requested detention until the end of proceedings against him, attributing to him severe acts of violence against his family members, against a background of excessive alcohol consumption. According to the indictment, the incident occurred about two and a half weeks ago at a wedding in the Galilee. The defendant, who was intoxicated, had a loud argument with his wife and demanded to speak with her in a side room. When his son and a relative entered to calm him down, he pushed his son, grabbed an iron bar, and swung it forcefully. The bar struck the relative's head, causing injury, and hit the son's shoulder, causing a shoulder dislocation that required medical reduction and fixation. The investigation revealed another incident in which the defendant, while drunk, struck his son with a heavy flowerpot, causing an injury treated with a cast. The police prosecution noted prior convictions against the defendant, including actual imprisonment for violent offenses and violation of a court order. Police demand he remain in custody until the end of proceedings due to his high dangerousness.
