Want to ask ChatGPT about Likud? The unusual instruction found on the party's website
Omnis company examined 19 party websites ahead of the elections. In 18 of them, AI bots were not blocked. On the Likud website, an instructions file was found telling all bots not to read the site's content.
Ahead of the 2026 elections, Omnis, a company specializing in website and system development, examined how prepared the official websites of Israeli parties are for the age of artificial intelligence. Out of 38 lists approved for the elections, 19 websites were located and identified for the test. In 18 of them, no blocking was found for major bots like ChatGPT and Claude. In contrast, on the Likud website, an instructions file (robots.txt) was found telling all bots not to read the site's pages. The test is not a ranking of the parties and does not examine what the AI actually answers, but it points to a new electoral arena where the question of accessibility of party information to automated systems arises.
