The Tel Aviv District Court unanimously convicted a 40-year-old Sudanese citizen of murdering another Sudanese citizen, which occurred on September 30, 2023, in Tel Aviv. The defendant posed as a courier for the company Wolt, wore a jacket and helmet of the company, rode an electric bicycle with a stolen Wolt box, and fired five bullets at the victim at close range. After the murder, he fled, disposed of the gun with the help of another person, changed clothes, and then returned to the scene and watched the Magen David Adom team treating the victim. The conviction was based on continuous camera footage, mapping findings, gunshot residue, the defendant's DNA profile on the equipment, and his own testimony in court. Judge Oded Maor ruled that the alternative explanation offered by the defendant is inconsistent with the objective evidence. Regarding the motive, it was noted that it likely stems from a dispute over drug sales.
