Wake up, Zionists

Ben-Dror Yemini argues that the flood of revelations about the warnings Netanyahu received comes at a non-coincidental timing, ahead of the elections, with the aim of influencing the vote. According to him, it is a boomerang that strengthens Netanyahu's claim that the media is against him, while the Change Camp focuses on the wrong issues instead of the political collapse and the plundering of the public coffers.

Ben-Dror Yemini, in an opinion column on ynet, argues that the many revelations and exposures about the warnings Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received come at a non-coincidental timing, two weeks before the elections, with the aim of influencing the vote. According to him, it is a boomerang, because this is exactly what Netanyahu seeks to prove: 'They are against me.' Yemini claims that the revelations do not move voters from one bloc to another, and even strengthen the Evasion Bloc. He warns that the anti-Netanyahu camp has a talent for harming itself at the last moment, as happened in the 1996 and 2015 elections. Yemini argues that Netanyahu has two strong cards: the judiciary and the media. According to him, the judicial system needs reform, and the mainstream media is indeed hostile to Netanyahu. He claims that the revelations, though serious, do not reveal much to those who have already decided to vote for Netanyahu, and on the other hand prove to his supporters that the media is against him. Yemini states that this is a stupid strategy on the part of the Change Camp, because Netanyahu is the foremost leader of the evasion, who led to a political collapse and the plundering of the public coffers. He calls for bringing the national and existential issue back to the table.
