Unprecedented footage: Pressed the gas, sped wildly – and dragged a policewoman hanging from the vehicle
A suspect in thefts and burglary attempted to flee from police officers in Rishon LeZion, ran over and dragged a policewoman who was holding onto his car door. The policewoman was lightly injured, the suspect was arrested after a manhunt.
A suspect in his 20s, a resident of Or Yehuda, who was wanted for questioning on suspicion of thefts and burglary, attempted to flee from police officers of the Rishon LeZion station. The officers identified him during administrative activity. When they approached and asked him to identify himself, he entered his car and began to flee. One policewoman held onto the car door in an attempt to prevent his escape, but the suspect continued driving with her hanging from the vehicle. After a short time, the policewoman fell and was lightly injured. The police launched extensive searches and a manhunt, at the end of which the suspect was located and arrested. He was transferred for questioning, and the police are expected to request an extension of his detention at the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court.
