About 67,000 Israelis are preparing to arrive from abroad for the elections, and hotels in Tel Aviv are already feeling the movement: over 90% occupancy and bookings for election week. From the Adam Hotels chain, it was reported that hotels in Tel Aviv are at over 90% occupancy, and among the guests are Israeli expatriates who have come to stay for periods of two to seven nights, among other reasons for voting. In Eilat, however, occupancy during the week is relatively low for the month. The Fattal chain is offering a 30% discount plus an additional 10% for club members for the elections, but emphasizes that the deals are not unique to the current elections. At Isrotel, they identified growing interest but struggle to quantify the phenomenon. Hotel workers in Tel Aviv were cautious when asked about the elections due to political sensitivity, but some reported more lively conversation among guests and a feeling that these are fateful elections.
