Holly Passmore, a 44-year-old mother of two from the UK, was questioned by police after an anonymous source reported her to the government's counter-terrorism program, claiming she "over-identifies" with Israel. The incident occurred in July 2025, about three weeks after she returned from a visit to Israel as part of a delegation organized by the Israeli Embassy in London. Plainclothes officers came to her home in County Durham and asked about her ties to Israel, her visits to the country, and her interest in "Jewish topics." A police document revealed by the Telegraph stated that support for Israel does not raise suspicion of terrorism. Passmore, who is not Jewish, runs an X account with over 28,000 followers and posts content against antisemitism. She is studying for a master's degree in Holocaust studies at the University of Haifa. After the police visit, she filed a complaint with the police, and later discovered she had been marked in her medical records as a vulnerable person.
