UK artist David Breuer-Weil is in Israel this week for the opening of his first solo exhibition in the country, titled Unity, at the Sheetrit & Wolf Gallery in Tel Aviv's Neve Tzedek neighborhood on November 4, 2026. The exhibition brings together a body of work addressing the tragedy of the October 7 massacre, the emotional return of the hostages, and complex questions surrounding Jewish identity and belonging. British Ambassador to Israel Simon Walters is slated to attend the opening night. A defining centerpiece is a new series of paintings and sculptures titled Home, which Breuer-Weil conceptualized following the initial return of Israeli hostages. Another piece, Morning, is a monumental canvas addressing the October 7 attacks by weaving together hundreds of images and symbols. A third piece, Where Shall I Go? (Ana Elech), explores the future of British Jewry amid rising insecurity and antisemitism in the UK. The exhibition is curated by Gregory Baker and runs until December 4, 2026.
