Two people were seriously injured in two separate violent crimes that occurred on Friday evening in the cities of Lod and Haifa. In Lod, a 36-year-old man was seriously injured after sustaining a penetrating wound to his body, and was taken to Assaf Harofeh Hospital for treatment. Medic Ahmed Husni said the victim was conscious and suffered a penetrating wound, and initial treatment was provided before transport. In Haifa, a 50-year-old man was seriously injured, and after initial treatment was taken to Rambam Hospital. Paramedic Ahmed Zeidan said he received a report of a man injured in a violent incident, and upon arrival saw the man conscious and suffering from injuries to his body, and provided treatment including stopping bleeding and medication. Police launched an investigation into the circumstances of the two crimes without announcing any arrests. This comes amid continued failure to provide security for Arab citizens, in light of the rampant crime that has resulted in 179 deaths since the beginning of the year.
