Turkish fans again used the Champions League stage for messages against Israel

Galatasaray fans hung banners with messages against Israel, including "Free Palestine" and "Humanity lost its conscience in Gaza," before the Champions League match against Barcelona. This repeats a previous protest pattern by the club's fans in European competitions, documented also in August 2024, September 2025 and October 2025.

Galatasaray fans hung banners with messages against Israel before the Champions League match against Barcelona at Rams Park Stadium in Istanbul. The banners read "Free Palestine" and "Humanity lost its conscience in Gaza." This is not the first time: a similar pattern was documented in August 2024 against Young Boys, in September 2025 against Liverpool (with additional messages such as "Let the babies in Gaza live" and "Genocide in Palestine"), and in October 2025 against Bodø/Glimt, when the club itself published photos from the stands with the caption "Stop the genocide."
