Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei issued a sharp statement directed at US President Donald Trump. According to Rezaei, the Iranian leadership's response will follow in the coming hours. He emphasized that Tehran does not intend to return to the previous format of diplomacy and the conditions of negotiations in Islamabad. Rezaei issued an ultimatum: the US must first fulfill seven Iranian demands, otherwise Tehran will neither agree to open the Strait of Hormuz nor resume negotiations. He called the Strait of Hormuz a "lever" and a "guarantee of negotiations." Rezaei warned that Iran will not tolerate attacks on its nuclear facilities or actions in the mountainous area (Mount Kirka), and stated that the armed forces have response plans ready. He also threatened neighboring countries that Tehran will respond to restrictions on Iranian flights and cooperation with the US, up to halting flights to their airports. The article cites the Tasnim news agency. Earlier, it was reported that Trump stated there were three-hour negotiations between delegations in New York.
