The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Muhammad Abu Alwan, Hamas's finance chief, in a joint strike yesterday (Wednesday) in the Khan Younis area of the southern Gaza Strip. Abu Alwan began his activities about a decade ago and was involved in budgeting all of the organization's departments. Throughout the war, over one billion shekels were transferred under his direction to fund terrorist activity, making him a decisive factor in maintaining Hamas's governance and its survival. Recently, he worked to restore the organization's capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire agreement. The IDF stated that forces continue to concentrate efforts on harming Hamas's financing capabilities, preventing the rehabilitation of infrastructure and military capabilities, while eliminating terrorists and the network of money changers and collaborators managing fund transfers worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
