"This fund is quite empty": Farkash-Hacohen warns of heavy economic burden in the coming decade

Minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen, a member of the Finance Committee, warns of a heavy economic burden on Israeli residents in the coming decade, against the backdrop of the depletion of the compensation fund. In an interview with 103FM, she says: "This fund is quite empty." Farkash-Hacohen addresses the disqualification of Ra'am and Sami Abu-Shahadeh by the Central Elections Committee, and notes that the vote on Abu-Shahadeh is "entirely political" due to his article supporting the October 7 massacre. She adds that she will await the High Court's decision. Regarding the defense budget, she says that 15 billion shekels were transferred amid a dispute between the defense establishment and the Treasury, and that the allocations approved today include 11.7 billion shekels in the first allocation and another 3 billion. She criticizes the government's priorities and calls for order in the "mess." Farkash-Hacohen also reports on a positive meeting with Gadi Eisenkot and Avigdor Lieberman regarding surplus agreements, and says there is another meeting at the end of the week. She concludes: "We have another month and a half, and we will fight to bring 61 and 63 seats."
