"They killed us": Arkia sources reveal the failures behind the crisis
Senior sources at Arkia reveal managerial and operational failures: extensive use of leased aircraft causing repeated delays, and cuts in ground services. Employees claim they are bearing the consequences. A protest is expected today outside the company's offices.
Senior sources at Arkia have revealed a series of managerial and operational failures that they say are behind the company's crisis. Among other things, they point to extensive use of leased aircraft causing repeated flight delays, and attempts to cut ground service costs at the expense of employees. According to them, management is not taking responsibility for the difficulties, and the workers are paying the price. The background to the crisis is a struggle over employee rights and dilution of their holdings. The Transport Workers Union sent a warning letter to owner representative Avi Horemro and CEO Oz Berlovich, demanding a halt to the disputed moves. Today (Tuesday) at 3:00 PM, a protest is planned outside Arkia's offices.
