In an operational activity by Central Border Police fighters and Central District police officers in Hod HaSharon, three suspects were arrested for car theft. The incident began when forces noticed a suspect dressed in dark clothing on Peduyim Street, and simultaneously a Kia Niro driving slowly aroused their suspicion. When the fighters approached to check, the driver fled in reverse, crashed, and caused a self-accident. He then abandoned the vehicle and began a foot chase between buildings, at the end of which he was caught. An inspection revealed that the car had been stolen shortly before. In the suspects' possession were found a computer and a booster used, according to suspicion, for breaking into and starting vehicles. The three suspects are an illegal resident from Shechem, about 18 years old, and two residents of East Jerusalem, aged 17 and 22. They were transferred for investigation at the Kfar Saba station and will be brought to court for an extension of their detention.
