Likud advisor shares cartoon mocking Lieberman and Haredi parties, then apologizes

Topaz Luk, an advisor to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, shared and then deleted a Likud-affiliated cartoon depicting Avigdor Lieberman as a waiter serving Haredi leaders, apologizing for the post amid coalition talks.

Amid negotiations to form the next government, Likud has begun attacking the possibility of a political partnership between Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman and the Haredi parties. The account "Hametzuda," affiliated with Likud, published a mocking image of Liberman and the Haredi party leaders under the caption "Servants' Alliance." Topaz Luk, an advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, shared the post. The image depicts Liberman as a waiter serving drinks to Haredim. The publication comes against the backdrop of the possibility that the Haredi parties might cooperate with the bloc opposing Netanyahu. A senior figure in United Torah Judaism told Walla that there is no principled objection to sitting with Liberman in the government, emphasizing that the conscription law would be the central condition. Liberman did not rule out future cooperation but clarified that he wants a government without Haredim, without the Arab parties, and without Netanyahu.
