Eitan Michael Hova, who died of cancer at age 13 and a half, recorded voice instructions for the Waze app. For nearly five years, the recordings served as a precious memento for his family, especially for his mother Geffen. Recently, the recordings disappeared from the app, and Geffen turned to social media asking for help in restoring them. According to her, her inquiries to Waze were answered negatively. In response, Waze said it conducted a thorough check but the voice could not be restored. Geffen hopes the story will encourage others to record the voices of their loved ones. Meanwhile, she is establishing 'Eitan's Orchard' in Moshav Dekel near the Gaza border in memory of her son.
