The researchers who raised $20 million to change the investment world using AI

WhiteSage, a new venture led by AI researchers and entrepreneurs from Tel Aviv, has raised $20 million to fund research and acquire existing companies with the goal of adapting them to the age of artificial intelligence. The venture is backed by Michael Eisenberg and Eden Shochat from Aleph Fund, and operates in three tracks: acquisition, strategic partnerships, and building from scratch as a last resort.

WhiteSage, a new venture that has operated under the radar in Tel Aviv until now, has raised $20 million to fund its research engine and operations. The venture, led by Assaf Gilboa-Amir, Liran Tam, and Matan Gueta, is backed by Michael Eisenberg and Eden Shochat from Aleph Fund. Instead of building startups from scratch, WhiteSage focuses on acquiring existing businesses and rebuilding them with AI, leveraging existing assets such as customer relationships and historical data. The venture has examined about 14 theses in fields such as agriculture, insurance, and qualitative research, and has reached deep insights in three of them. In the coming weeks, it is expected to begin evaluating the first companies for acquisition in the US. The lab employs 15 people in Israel and the US, focusing on research in Tel Aviv and access to the American market on the East Coast.
