The public turns on Ben Gvir, and doesn't buy Lieberman and Eisenkot's promises

A Channel 14 poll reveals: 66% of the public believe Ben Gvir's demand for the defense and justice portfolios harms the right. 70% support disqualifying the Joint List, and 94% determine that supporters of the October 7 massacre cannot run. 69% do not believe Lieberman's promise not to sit with Arabs, and 64% are certain Eisenkot will rely on them.

A comprehensive poll by Channel 14, published this evening (Wednesday) in the main newscast, maps public opinion on a series of political, policy, and security issues at the center of the election campaign. At the focus of the poll was the announcement by Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir that he would demand for himself the position of Defense Minister and the Justice portfolio for Tali Gottlieb. 66% of respondents believe this demand harms the right-wing bloc, compared to only 15% who see it as a contribution. 70% support disqualifying the Joint List (Balad), and 94% determine that a person who expressed support for the October 7 massacre cannot run. In the opposition arena, 64% believe that 'Yashar' chairman Gadi Eisenkot will rely on the Arab parties to form a government, and 69% do not believe Avigdor Lieberman's commitment not to sit with Arab parties. 57% assess that the disputes in the opposition reduce the bloc's chances. In the security field, 45% support demolishing terrorists' homes and deporting their families, 66% support the death penalty for the terrorist in the Binyamin attack, and 52% do not believe Trump will destroy the Iranian nuclear program.
