Rainwater flooded Al-Qalaa School and the Ward neighborhood kindergarten in the city of Nazareth, forcing their administrations to send students and children home for their safety. Following this, the Popular Committee in Nazareth sent a letter to the head of the appointed municipal committee, Yaakov Efratti, demanding he take responsibility and conduct an urgent inspection of the infrastructure in educational institutions to ensure the scenes witnessed in the city are not repeated. The committee criticized the response of the municipality's director general, Nahida Mansour, who blamed previous municipal administrations for the neglect, arguing that the current administration is not obligated to apologize for conditions it inherited from its predecessors. The committee emphasized that the accumulation of neglect over the past years does not absolve the current administration of its responsibilities, stressing that maintaining educational institutions, inspecting drainage systems and insulation, and preparing for the winter season fall within the municipality's duties and should not be contingent on receiving complaints from residents or the occurrence of damage.
